Binance delists AION, MIR, and ANC tokens

Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, announced to delist aion (AION), mirror protocol (MIR), and anchor protocol (ANC) from Feb. 27 at 5pm.

Here is what we know about the story:

• Regulators around the world have imposed heavy crack down on the crypto world.

• Centralized entities such as Binance and Kraken have fallen victim of regulatory pressure.

• As ripple effect, Binance has heightened its qualifications required from a project before listing.

• As a result, aion (AION), mirror protocol (MIR), and anchor protocol (ANC) will be delisted from Feb. 27at 5pm.

• Binance did not give the exact reason why the digital assets will be delisted from the platform.

Tencent cloud enters Web3, strikes deal with Avalanche and Ankr

Tencent Holdings’ cloud service provider, Tencent Cloud, announced its interest and entry into Web3.

Here is what we know about the inception:

• Tencent Cloud will reinforce its Web3 invasion by striking deals with major players in the niche.

• Some of these players include Ankr, Avalanche, Sui and Scroll

• The firm has already signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Ankr

• The different partnerships will see the development of new Web3 products including in-game development.

Coinbase Reveals Cyber Attack on Employees

Coinbase, a major cryptocurrency exchange has disclosed that some of its employees have suffered cyber attacks due to spear-phishing emails.

Here is what we know about the story:

• Coinbase revealed that the attackers used spear-phishing emails to target the firm’s employees.

• The hacker had intentions of gaining access to Coinbase’s internal systems to steal valuable data.

• A multifactor authentication security measure prevented the cyber criminal from doing so.

• Coinbase’s security team immediately swum into action to prevent further damages by isolating the affected devices.

• Coinbase’s operations remained unaffected.

Sam Bankman ‘Fraud’ hit with new charges for political donations

Former CEO of disgraced exchange FTX Sam Bankman Fried is facing new criminal charges for his investments in politics.

Here is what we know about the story:

• The Manhattan federal court revealed the list of political donations made by SBF.

• The count equates to more than 300 illegal political donations.

• The total valuation of the donations equates to tens of millions of dollars.

• SBF allegedly made the donations to circumvent restrictions

• If convicted of all charges laid on him, SBF will face a long time in prison

NFT Spotlight: Shay the Surrealist

Shay the Surrealist commonly known as Shay Wallace is a 23 year old NFT artist. Shay specializes in designing and developing surrealist virtual art in the form of online images. The artist creatively uses stock photos to come up with the final product that transforms the everyday into the extra ordinary. She has a strong reputation in the NFT world and is showing a lot of potential considering her tender age.
